The long anticipated Key to Springfield is now claiming a release date
of Summer 2006, but anyone who's been in the community for very long
knows not have very much faith in it. Key has been making such promises
since
March 2005. Stop with the promos and release it already; we're all
very psyched!

CBG's Video Game Collection is, in my opinion, one of the best sites in
the community, a point supported by its entry at #6 in my upcoming top
25 list. This much overlooked site has molded its own style and 95% of
its content can't be found anywhere else.

Jukka claims LMS updated within the past couple days, but Malachy claims
he doesn't see it. Alicia definitely needs to break this sausage fest of
a community up and start bringing her creation back to the spotlight it
deserves.

Just in case you refused to click on all sixty of the individual threads
on the matter, Simpson Crazy experienced quite a bit of downtime this
month. There was even a bit of a fright when somebody spoke of file
deletion. My two cents: fix the load time on the design so we can enjoy
the masterpiece without having to take a day off from work.

Gary's Maggie site, which has experience constant boosts in popularity
since he took over as webmaster, is currently offline. He has a big
surprise, me thinks a new deign, in store for us, due out summer 2006.
Do everyone a favor and turn him down on the donation suggestion. It's a
Simpsons fansite, not a panhandler meeting, Gary.

Adam's headlines/RSS feature continues to grow in usage. I estimate five
to six major sites have implemented the feature into their main page.
Kudos to Adam for another useful and original idea.
maggied.com
Maggied lives to die another day at its successor forum, shiftercar. I
may just be hallucinating, but it seems they've actually taken the mysql
database from maggied and stuck it into the imposter. However, I could
be mistaken, because either David Cross deleted my old account or I've
forgotten my password.

simpsonsInteractive is due out this month, the much-anticipated true
successor of Ludvigsen's home. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but,
with 8 days left in this month, it seems like just another knotch to add
to the belt of broken release dates.
forums galore
Perhaps one of the biggest detriments to community growth is the split
community. This is exemplified by the arrival, and even surprising
growth, of four or five Simpsons forums. Forums on fansites such as
Krustylu Studios, HomerSimpson.tv, The Cutest Baby, and The Springfield
Connection are hurting NHC and the web community that has been built
around it.
links site dream team
Tim B, Jon H, and Scott V have reportedly joined forces to create what
will certainly be the biggest thing to happen to the community since
sliced designs. It's a links site and will include cool interactivity,
such that we will be literally blown away. (not literally)
