Jon Lovitz Jon Lovitz
Jon Lovitz was born July 21, 1957 in Tarzana, California. He got his start on the sketch show "Saturday Night Live" in 1985 to 1990. After that he was in movies such as "Big", "A League of Their Own", "Coneheads", and "Fievel Goes West".

In 1994 Al Jean and Mike Reiss, both veterans of The Simpsons approached Jon with a role on their new animated series entitled "The Critic". Lovitz starred in the show as small-time city film-critic Jay
Sherman. In 1995, Jon voiced Jay Sherman for the season 6 episode A Star Is Burns (2F31). While this publicity stunt could not ultimately save The Critic, it did help squeeze out a little more life. After The Critic Jon appeared in the cult TV show "Newsradio"; and movies such as "The Wedding Singer", "Matilda", and "Little Nicky".

In addition to voicing Jay Sherman, Lovitz lent his voice talents to our very own Artie Ziff! He was also the voice of Aristotle Amandopolis in Homer Defined (8F04), Professor Lombardo in Brush With Greatness (7F18), and Llewelyn Sinclair in A Streetcar Named Marge (8F18).

Lovitz's most recent appearance on The Simpsons was in The Ziff Who Came To Dinner (FABF08); which surprisingly featured not one, not two, but all of his characters.

Today Jon Lovitz is an established actor, comedian, and voice talent.
