Artie Ziff first appeared in the season 2 episode of The
Simpsons "The Way We Was" (7F12). He was shown as an
intelligent, slightly arrogant teenage boy. He went to the prom
with Marge, but that night ended up sour when he let his "busy
hands" get the best of him. His next appearance was in season
4's "The Front" (9F16), but it was a short one. he was seen for
about 10 seconds at the high school reunion, and was revealed to
be extremely rich. However, it was also revealed that he would
give it all up to be with Marge. Perhaps this was a fore-shading
of what would come next... Artie's next appearance on The
Simpsons was in season 13's "Half-Decent Proposal" (DABF04).
This time he was offering Homer $1,000,000 for a weekend with
Marge. Once again he let his busy hands ruin his chances at
love. His next and most recent spot on The Simpsons was in
season 15's "The Ziff Who Came To Dinner" (FABF08). His internet
company had failed, and he was dirt poor. After a short stint of
living at the Simpsons' home, he was sent to jail for
questionable business practices. The last we saw of him he was
spraying burly men's cigarettes out with a spray bottle in
prison. |
