The Ziff Who Came to Retire Artie Ziff is released from prison and decides to retire to the Springfield Retirement Castle. Homer, remembering Artie's obsession with Marge, gets Lenny and Carl to help him try and get rid of him. Artie becomes supicious and catches Homer, Lenny, and Carl red-handed setting up a trap. He is offended that they would suspect him of trying to steal Marge and finally admits that he "has a thing" for Edna. 1.05- Skinner is Thinner Lenny, Carl, and Homer help Artie try and attract Edna but without luck. Skinner, who constantly spies on Edna in the retirement home, is angered that someone might try and get Edna. Skinner then arranges for a musical number with Comic Book Guy, former-Super Intendent Chalmers, Willie, and Gil about how Skinner and Edna are a better match than Artie and Edna. However, in the middle of Skinner's performance Homer, Lenny, Carl, Moe, Quimby, and Barney have a deuling performance. The two groups eventually get into a fight and Edna breaks them up. Edna tells Skinner he had his chance and kisses Artie. 2.14- The Ziff is Right Artie gets accepted to go on the latest obsession of the Springfield Retirement Castle, the game show The Price is Right. All the retirees fly out to Los Angeles to watch Artie. The night before the game show is supposed to be taped everyone goes out on the town. Barney, Moe, Wiggum, Homer, Ned, and Artie all go to a bar, where they inevitably get drunk. The next morning Artie's hangover is too much for him to go on the game show. Barney, who drinks so much anyway he is basically immune to alcohol, goes on the show in Artie's place. However, Bob Barker is so disgusted by Barney's behavior that he gets very mad. He starts to scream and has a heart attack. The producers of the show give Barney a blimp to make up for the fiasco. See this guide in its entirety here. |
